Simple DIY festive backdrop

As August draws near each year, I feel a palpable thrill in the air. The anticipation of planning and preparing for the festivities brings such joy and excitement, with a little anxiety mixed in! For me, this time is especially meaningful as my sister and I prepare for the Ammavaru celebrations, a tradition close to my heart. If you’ve been following my journey, you know how deeply I cherish this particular festival.

Over the years, I’ve shared many backdrops for that we created. This one, however, stands out for its simplicity. With just a few materials and a bit of effort, you’ve got a beautiful decor that stands out.

Materials required

Step-by-step instructions

  • Put the round metal circle together by connecting all the parts.
  • Use hot glue to stick roses onto a pearl string. Make pairs of strings that are the same length.
  • Secure the long faux flower garland at the center of the metal circle using zip ties
  • Tie the pearl strings using threads to the metal circle along with the garland securing the garland to the metal circle. Continue doing this till all the pearl strands are used up.
  • Make a tassel bunch from a faux pearl strand and add to the ends.
  • Attach faux leaves to both ends of the metal circle.
