As soon as we got the house, the 1st thing I envisioned in my patio is a swing. The smooth, gentle glide of the swing will keep us daydreaming for hours. I wanted my kids also to enjoy the gentle sway of a porch swing on a summer night as we did as kids. Back in India, swing in the porch is pretty common in all the homes and we have so many memories associated with it.
So after searching for it for a long time, I had got this swing for the patio from Wayfair. But when I am sitting in the patio and looking at it, I felt it missed the color and life.
Things needed for the project:
1. Paint in your desired color(I had yellow and Annie Sloan orange)
2. Screws
3. Carved wood frame (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VYZ6HSO/ref=dp_cerb_1
Step1:
Paint the swing in your desired color and check the placement of the wood frame. I painted the swing in yellow KRYLON exterior paint.
Step2:
Paint the wood carved frame. Firstly, I painted the wood frame in yellow and dry brushed the carvings with orange on it
Step3:
Screw in the carved frame into the swing. You can surely tell, it totally changed the look of it and made it look more traditional
