Things you need:
- Indian Inlay Stencil from Cutting edge stencils – You can find them in amazon
- Acrylic paint in white
- Roller brush
- Paper towels
- Painters tape, ya thats all you need to start on this project.
- And yes, lots and lots of patience
How to do:
Neha had put in a lovely video on how to do it for us. But we have some instructions for you as well.
Step1: Set the stencil
Simply set the stencil on the desired area, use painters tape to keep it in place.
Step2: Prep your roller
Now put some acrylic paint on your roller brush and roll it over a paper towel first. Doing this will make sure the excess paint is taken off from the brush. We want to make sure the brush is almost dry.
Step3: Paint
Then roll it over the stencil to fill up the design slowly. DO NOT PRESS OVER TOO MUCH while you do this, it might cause bleeding through the stencil. Just do a gentle roll.
Step4: Repeat the process
Remove the stencil and move it to the next spot and repeat the process.
The key is to keep the brush almost dry so that the paint does not bleed under the stencil and the design looks crisp. If needed you can do a second coat later once the first coat has dried. The process is quite simple once you get the hang of it. Just takes some patience.
