I have met Anusha (my client) in my first visit to her home for design consultation. As soon as I entered the home I saw a huge purple wall along the hall way. And the moment I saw that I thought “I am keeping this wall”.
She wanted me to design her front foyer room and she wanted to keep it simple, elegant and modern. She requested me to add that little Indian touch to the home keeping the modern elements.
I was so fixed on the purple wall and wanted to add some beautiful gold accents to the wall that elevates the lovely bright color and make it a show stopper!!
We have picked a nice gold mandala wall decal on etsy that was easy to install
We decided to pick some modern furniture and have gold accents in the room to blend all together. Most of the our furniture pieces were picked from wayfair and overstock
We did not want to overpower the room by adding too much wall accents since we already had an accent wall in the room, so we chose a light colored painting on the wall we picked from Athome and the gold metal flower wall decor has been picked from worldmarket. Not sure of they are available anymore, since they were final sale products.
We now had to pick the decor accents, which was the most exciting and the toughest part of home decor. The reason I say tough part is, there are endless options in home decor and its hard to figure them online and its overwhelming when you shop in store.
I have made a couple of visits to Homegoods and picked some lovely pieces that suited the space. Decor accents are the ones that finally blends the entire look together and makes the space looks complete. As you can see how adding decor accents transform the space to whole new level.
Thank you Anusha for giving me such lovely opportunity to shape your space and thank you so much for joining with me on this lovely home tour I designed, stay tuned to see more such posts coming!!!
