The krishna painting was custom made from my sisters friend and I just loved the color of the Krishna painting so much that I decided to paint the wall in the darkest shade of violet.
We decided to add a picture frame on the wall around the painting to give the dramatic look.
I did not want to paint the whole wall the same color. We had the base color as Anew Grey, so wanted to leave that color around the painting for about 10 inches around.
Things required for this wall:
- Sherwin Williams color – Amethyst glass
- 1 inch White trim – home depot or lowes
- paint roller for wall
- Nail gun
Using painters tape, we first created a frame around the Krishna painting and then started painting the outer square on the wall in two coats.
Make sure the paint is dry between the coats.
We got 1 inch wide primed trim from home depot and made 45 angle cut at edges as per the measurements for the picture frame.
Using nail gun, we nailed the trim to the wall.

And here is the final look.
How to place order for frame?
