This was a pretty busy week and we made quite a few updates on our shelving unit. We are just 2 weeks away from the reveal and I am super nervous to finish my cabinets and figure out the styling artifacts before the big reveal. But the good part is we got quite a few things off from the list we had from previous weeks. If you have missed the updates from previous weeks, check out here
- Make wood boxes – Check
- Color them with wall color – Check
- Fix them to the wall – Check
- Cut and fix Fluted trim for wood boxes – Check
Materials used for making the wood boxes are:
- the oak popular wooden boards from weaberlumber for wood shelving
- Fluted casing from weaberlumber for fluted backing.
- Power tools from my amazon storefront
- wood glue
- Brad nailer
We first did the wood shelving unit in the spaces between the metal shelving units.
Once the shelving is installed, we fixed the fluted trim to all the shelving units.
Here is how it looked after we are done with the fluted trim backing for all the shelving.
Now we have to finish these things before the final reveal
- Paint the fluted backing
- Paint the cabinets
- Add cane to the cabinets ( as per new plan)
- Paint the cane
- Fix the cabinets
- caulking the spaces and finishing
- Prepare for the decor
- Final reveal 🙂
This is still quite a long list for 2 weeks, and I really hope I can make it through.
