DIY Flower Prabhavali

The Prabhavali or Prabhai is an essential part of the adornment of an idol which depicts the aura of the presiding deity. This Prabhabavali mostly comes in brass, bronze, and wood with two columns on either side and an arch connecting those columns in the center which is called a kirtimukha, usually a figure of an apotropaic demon-mask that serves as the guardian.

A simple prabhavali frame can be decorated beautifully and creatively with inspiring hues matching the theme that enhances the divinity of the idol.

For making this flower prabhavali, we need the below listed items:

Materials used:

Steps:

Step 1: Place the prabhavali stand upright in the way it frames the idol.

Step 2: Start by sticking pink flowers in an orderly arrangement from one end of the column with the help of hot glue and contrasting yellow flowers in between that exquisitely bring out the colors very well.

Step 3: Repeat the same arrangement with the other column until the arch part.

Step 4: The center part of the prabhavali is the highlight which is decorated in a fashion that pink flowers are sticked around with an yellow flower in the center.

Step 5: Border the pink flowers arrangement in the center with yellow flowers that elevates the overall look.
