Two years after I created a lotus back drop, it got re-invented by my sister. Just with a few upgrades and repurposing 3d flowers we created a completely new and stunning backdrop that can be used multiple different ways. It’s such a beautiful reminder that we don’t need to reinvent the wheel always. Just a new way to re-use existing materials and create something amazing.
This is such a multi-tasking piece, it can be used and re-used in many ways.
Materials used:
- 3d foam flowers – multiple colors
- Gold straws
- Hula hoops
- Hot glue
- Cardboard or foam board
Instructions:
- Begin by cutting cardboard or foam board into a semi-circle of your chosen size. This will be the base of your backdrop.
- Trace the pattern you have in mind for your backdrop onto the base.
- Use hot glue to attach 3D foam flowers to the backdrop, following the traced pattern. Use different colors to create a colorful backdrop.
- Enhance the design by outlining it with gold straws. This makes the pattern stand out.
- Use a hula hoop as a trim for the semi-circle backdrop, this will also create structural support.
