We are into Week 4 of the challenge and we are almost half way through it. I still have quite a few things pending on my TV wall due to the delays in my shipment. We finally got the lumber delivered by Weaberlumber and we will be starting the TV wall soon. I am sure I will be able to make it assuming there will be no major design changes :P.
If you have missed my progress on my previous weeks. Checkout the below links for each week.
So while we waited for the shipments to arrive we worked on ceiling project. If you have been following me on instagram, you would have seen my updates on the plywood ceiling wall installation. If you have missed them, that absolutely fine. I have saved all that in my youtube videos for you to watch them in leisure. Please do checkout and let me know how you like my plywood ceiling.
Adding enhancements to ceiling could get little tiring as you will have to stay up and holding things most of the time. But it does give a new dimension to the room. Expertise level for this one is totally beginner and can be done by anyone absolutely.
Things needed for this project:
- Oak Plywood sheets – 1/4 X 4 by 8
- Poly Acrylic
- Bradnailer
This is how it looks after the ceiling is installed. Drop in your comments to tell me how it looks!
Just yesterday we started doing the TV wall and have installed the fluted trim from Weaberlumber. I have ordered the below fluted trim from them. If you want to order the same from them, reach out to them on Instagram or their website and ask for the the trim given below. This is not listed on their product listings but they should be able to provide it.
Fluted Trim moulding – WM 286 5/8 in. x 3-1/4 in. Oak Casing Moulding.
These are also available in home depot that you can place an order from
I have installed the trim using brad nailer (checkout my amazon tools list or you can get them from fb marketplace to save some bucks). You dont have to check for any studs while installing the boards, these can directly go on the wall and are absolutely easy to install.
