Saptarshi temple project

Creativity comes from requirements. My client Deepthi has a lovely requirement of having a unique pooja wall decor that incorporated saptharishis in it because her mom’s place has a saptharishi panel in the middle of their house and wanted to make the pooja room close to her home that is close to her heart.

That gives me an opportunity to explore my creativity and indulge into more ideas that I haven’t tried before. this design is definitely one of a kind and kept evolving as we dived deep into it.

We started with a plan of having a temple design and saptharishis should be hanging in like shelves in a temple gopuram.

Krish had put in basic sketch to outline the figurine and got into a nice shape as we expected.

Then we started giving using all the material we had in bringing the realistic effect of a temple gopuram and created levels for each mandir inside the gopuram. We wanted to highlight the saptharishis so we elevated the major mandirs which had the rishis. The others levels have been adjusted to elevate the shadow effect we wanted to bring in the final look.

Once the wood work is all done. Its now the time for the magic hands to be the showstopper. the shading has been done so perfectly that it turned out to look like a real temple. we stick to neutral colors since we wanted to keep it semi contemporary for the beautifully looking modern home that my client had.

The final part is to make fine slits through the mandirs and attach the heavy panchaloha saptharishis that I have custom made for this project.

And it merely looks so divine once we have them installed up on the client;s pooja room wall. As an icing to the cake, the lights always give the final magical look.
