Navratri

Navratri is the Hindu festival celebrating the triumph of good over evil by the goddess Durga by killing the demon MahishasuraNavratri in Sanskrit means nine nights which signifies this festival being observed for nine nights with nine different colors: White, Red, Royal blue, Yellow, Green, Grey, Orange, Peacock Green, and Pink for respective days. Navratri is often regarded as a celebration of women’s empowerment where people observe fasting, prepare special food, and decorate Navratri mandir at home with respective Navratri colors.
